These influences (or sources of new companies) include the 'National Research Council Canada (NRC)', the 'Communications Research Centre Canada (CRC)', other 'Government Departments', 'Nortel (and its predecessors)', 'National and Multinational Companies', 'Academic Institutions', and 'Other Influences'. Humble Beginnings - A Pictorial History of the Ottawa Tech Cluster
